Mariela Siegert is a high school librarian who thinks she has more than 24 hours in a day. She loves to read YA books, but she has a soft spot in her heart for different formats, such as audiobooks, and she loves comics for all ages. When she is not trying to convince kids to read, she adjuncts at Dominican University, teaching a comics class for future librarians. Mariela is also involved with her state school library organization (AISLE), and national organizations AASL, YALSA, and GNCRT. She was also vice-chair of the GNCRT Outstanding Comics Award for Young Adults in its inaugural year. Mariela presents locally and nationally on all things comics.
