Marcela Peres is the Director at Lewiston Public Library in Maine. She holds a BA from Cornell University and an MS in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She was a member of the Organizing Committee for the ALA Graphic Novels and Comics Round Table, and is currently serving on its Executive Board as a Member-at-Large. Her passions lie in graphic novel collection development for adults and teens, and she has spoken on a variety of topics and moderated panels at conferences and conventions nationwide, including ALA Annual and Midwinter, San Diego Comic-Con, New York Comic-Con, Boston Comic-Con, and others.
