Kacy Helwick loves her day job where she gets to buy all the books and AV for kids and teens as the Youth Collection Development Librarian at the New Orleans Public Library. She received her MLIS from LSU, and is an active member of ALA's Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table and Rainbow Round Table. She served as an Eisner Judge in 2025.
