Attack on Titan Volume 8 (Kodansha, 9781612625478)
Jennifer W: I haven’t read Attack on Titan, but I suddenly had an enthusiastic band of teens begging for the latest volumes – and they weren’t all regular manga readers, so it seems to appeal to a broad audience.
Robin: I’ve finally watched the beginning of the anime, and I’m curious about the manga as well, given it’s reputation for being completely gripping but having terrible art. My teens adore the anime and the manga both, but acknowledge it’s anatomy shortcomings.
Doctor Who Series 3 Volume 3: Sky Jacks (IDW, 9781613777916)
Traci: I don’t watch Doctor Who (dodging tomatoes! 🙂 ), but my teens love it and the associated comics.
Johnny Hiro Volume 2 Skills to Pay the Bills (Tor Books, )
Robin: I really loved volume 1 of Johnny Hiro, and it’s been harder to get over the years in terms of going out of print and then having new editions, but I’m really pleased to see volume 2 here!
Oz: the Road to Oz (Marvel, 9780785164050)
Jennifer W: Road to Oz, yay!! I am continually delighted and surprised by how many kids love these, even though the original Oz books have fallen out of favor (sadly imo).
A Treasury of 20th Century Murder Volume 6: Madison Square Tragedy: the Murder of Stanford White (NBM, 9781561637621)
Traci: I love Rick Geary’s Treasury of 20th Century Murder series, so I’m definitely looking forward to adding that to my collection.
