Highlights from the past two weeks, with commentary from the NFNT gang:
Blade of the Immortal Volume 27: Mist on the Spider’s Web (Dark Horse, 9781616552152)
Jenny: I am a die-hard Blade of the Immortal fan and am anxiously awaiting my hold on volume 27. I need it! Now!
Boxers & Saints Boxed Set (First Second, 9781596439245)
Jennifer W: I bought Boxers and Saints – I almost never buy the more “literary” graphic novels, b/c they check out really badly, but I was surprised by the really good circs on American Born Chinese.
Abby: I’m really excited to see Boxers and Saints. I don’t always love Gene Luen Yang (no, I don’t know what’s wrong with me), but these two books look really interesting. Plus, I am pretty sure they will get on the Great Graphic Novels list this year.
Delilah Dirk & the Turkish Lieutenant (First Second, 9781596438132)
Eva: DELILAH DIRK AND THE TURKISH LIEUTENANT!!! (Excuse me while I hyperventilate a little.) I love this book. I loved it when it was a mini-comic. I loved it when it was a chapter in one of the Flight anthologies. I loved it online. I loved it in French (and I don’t even read French). I love this book and am SO HAPPY that it’s finally out in book form in English (a language I do read).
East of West Volume 1: the Promise (Image Comics, 9781607067702)
Traci: I’m really interested in checking of East of West. It’s all I’ve been hearing about lately, and I’ve liked other stuff by Jonathan Hickman, so we’ll see.
Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing (Funimation)
Jenny: The first Last Exile series was quite lovely but I haven’t had a chance to watch Fam, the Silver Wing yet and would love to see how it compares.
Little Fish (Houghton Mifflin, 9781936976188)
Jennifer W: I actually liked Little Fish and I don’t often like graphic memoirs. I reviewed that on my own blog and my teen aides also read it and liked it.
My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Volume 2 (IDW, 9781613777602)
Jennifer W: Has anybody seen the My Little Pony comics? Are they any good?
Traci: I haven’t seen the My Little Pony comics yet, but I’m betting they will be super, duper popular at my library. 
One Piece Volume 68 (Viz, 9781421558813)
Eva: I’m reminded, as I am every time a new volume gets released, that I really need to get started reading One Piece. I’ve only ever heard fantastic things about this story and I can’t wait to have a chunk of time so I can dig in and fall in love.
Sleeping Moon Volume 2 (Viz, 9781421555515)
Jenny: The first volume of Sleeping Moon did a great job of setting up a creepy, intriguing, and foreboding mystery surrounding an inherited curse and I’m interested in seeing how the characters and story continue to develop in volume 2.
Wandering Son Volume 5 (Fantagraphics, 9781606996478)
Jenny: I’m really enjoying Wandering Son’s quiet, thoughtful take on such a complicated issue and look forward to volume 5.
Wonder Woman Volume 3: Iron (DC Comics, 9781401242619)
Traci: I think (?) I’m excited for the new Wonder Woman Vol 3. tpb – I’ve enjoyed the first two volumes, even though I wasn’t thrilled with how they changed Diana’s origin story.
