Captain Harlock: Space Pirate – the Complete TV Series (Eastern Star)
Jenny: I’ve watched the first couple of episodes of Captain Harlock and would love to see the rest. Â It’s soooo seventies, but in the best way. Â Classic, fun, involving storytelling. Â Also, the sound effects are an unintentional hoot, with electric doors sounding like growling stomachs and Harlock’s eyes flashing with the the same *pshing* sound usually used for flying mecha brandishing their laser swords at one another. Â What cheeze! Â Awesome.
Helter Skelter: Fashion Unfriendly (Vertical, 9781935654834)
Caitlin: I’m really intrigued by the idea of beauty industry horror – I’ll be keeping an eye out for this one!
Pandora Hearts Volume 17 (Yen Press, 9780316248099)
Jenny: Recent revelations leave me eager to see how the shocked characters will adjust. Â These last few volumes have been one gasp after another!
Science: a Discovery in Comics (NBM, 9781561637508)
Snow: I really enjoyed Science: a discovery in comics. Not quite as much as I liked Philosophy: a discovery in comics, but it was still pretty darn good.
