Jenny: Black Butler has been getting better and better, with creative, twisty allusions to history and literature. The Titanic-with-zombies arc has been quite a ride so far and the unexpected reveal at the end of the previous volume had me cheering.
How to Fake a Moon Landing: Exposing the Myths of Science Denial (Abrams, 9781419706899)
Caitlin: I enjoyed Darryl Cunningham’s Psychiatric Tales and a critical look at science denial definitely sounds intriguing to me.
Jerusalem (First Second, 9781596435759)
Robin: Count me among the folks interested in Jerusalem! I’m intrigued, and of course I always depend on First Second to point me toward quality work.
Pandora Hearts Volume 15 (Yen Press, 9780316225373)
Jenny: Like Black Butler, Pandora Hearts is an entertaining balance of darkly fantastic drama and humor. The omake sprinkled throughout the volumes keeps the tone from getting weighed down by all the complex motives and murderous doings.
Vader’s Little Princess (Chronicle Books, 9781452118697)
Traci: I am super excited for Vader’s Little Princess! Darth Vader and Son was so funny, so I’m expecting more awesome Star Wars humor. And, I just love everything Jeffrey Brown does.
