Traci: I’m excited for DC’s Dial H! I saw some preview pages through the PW Comics newsletter, and it looks awesome!
Slow News Day (Slave Labor Graphics, 9781593620806)
Robin: Ooooh! Slow News Day is back in print!? EXCELLENT. This is the most engaging, snarky, romantic comedy in comic form and it’s been out of print for WAY TOO LONG. I love Andi Watson, and have always felt that he’s never quite gotten the acclaim he deserves. Let’s make it happen, people! 😀
Jennifer W: What? Where? I missed that. Will I like it? I own all the Glister books and Gum Girl, but couldn’t figure out what the heck was going on in Skeleton Key (maybe because the only volume I could find was #4)
Robin: Slow News Day is older than Glister, to be sure — think Two Weeks Notice more than Coraline.
Summer Wars (Funimation)
Michael: Summer Wars is hands down one of the best movies in anime. It’s a heartwarming tale of family, friendship and saving the world. It will appeal to all audiences and anyone who has’t yet seen it should quickly rectify that mistake.
X-Men Legacy Volume 1: Prodigal (Marvel Comics, 9780785162490)
Michael: X-Men Legacy is a really interesting book. It follows the mutant son of Professor X, Legion, as he tries to follow in his fathers footsteps by helping new mutants while keeping his multiple personalities under control.
