One Trick Rip-Off + Deep Cuts HC (Image, 9781607067184)
Jack: I’m a big Paul Pope fan and am really excited about One-Trick Rip-Off. I have no idea what it’s about, but I’m sure it will be weird, beautiful, mind-blowing, and totally worthwhile.
Persona 4 – Collecton 2 (Sentai)
Allen: I’m really looking forward to Persona 4 Collection 2! As far as video game adaptations go, Persona 4 The Animation is the best I’ve seen. Rather than just retell the events from the game, the series does a fantastic job with playing up the lively dynamics of the main characters who take it upon themselves to investigate a series of strange murders. Outside of the main narrative, Persona 4 The Animation really shines when the characters are allowed to act like teenagers, resulting in a great number of hilarious situations.
