Angel & Faith Volume 2: Daddy Issues (Dark Horse, 9781595829603)
Michael: That “Angel and Faith” was fantastic. Any fans of the Buffy series should absolutely pick it up. It’s wonderful and resolves some long-standing character issues.
Digestate (Birdcage Bottom Books)
Caitlin: Digestate is a comics anthology that is all about food. I don’t know much about it but I like many of the artists involved and I love the cover. I know we had a Top Comics That Make You Hungry list a while back, but this seems to be a subject that just works well with comics.
Drawing Comics Lab: 52 Exercises on Characters, Panels, Storytelling, Publishing and Professional Practices (Quarry Books, 9781592538126)
Caitlin: I’m very excited to see Drawing Comics Lab, a book of all-ages comics making and publishing exercises by my friend and former roommate Robyn Chapman. Robyn works tremendously hard and her books are always beautiful!
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood – OVA Collection (Manga Entertainment)

Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat (Digital Manga, 978-1569702857)
Caitlin: That is one provocative title…others might know more than me, but it looks like it means hentai in the sense of “creepy” rather than “pornographic”.
Tune: Vanishing Point (First Second, 9781596435162)
Jack: Tune: Vanishing Point is a terrific book. It’s the first part of a story that promises to have a sci-fi bent, though the first volume isn’t sci-fi at all. Instead it’s about a kid who drops out of art school to try to get a job, finds out that getting a job is really hard, and falls for a girl. It’s really cute, and captures the angst of young adulthood very well. Great for older teens.
